Lisa Samaraweera

Lisa has worked for over 20 years in Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, and Career Coaching and Consulting. In that time she has helped thousands of individuals, in all stages of career and personal evolution, with career exploration and transition, and leadership development.

She spent over 7 years at Bright Horizons, where she led the national corporate recruiting strategy during a time of dynamic organizational change and growth. She managed a team that coordinated all levels of hiring from executive searches to high-volume call center roles. Additionally, she oversaw the corporate behavioral assessment practice; utilizing assessments to provide insight into hiring and onboarding, individual and team performance, and strategic planning.

With an M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from Springfield College and a B.A. in English from Syracuse University, she is certified to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Strong Interest Inventory, Predictive Index, and DISC assessment.

Lisa’s coaching strengths are in harnessing the human behaviors and motivators that drive us to impactful business outcomes. Her approach isn’t to use one specific coaching or counseling methodology, but to focus on the whole person, and use their unique gifts to guide the discovery and release of our power within. The foundation of her consulting approach is: “Everything we need is within us now.”

Lisa lives outside of Boston with her husband and 12-year old daughter. When she’s not watching her daughter ride horses, she teaches yoga to private and corporate clients in the Boston area.
